Greenwich High's softball team must have felt like it stepped in front of a fast moving train because it did. Darien High' softball ran over Greenwich, 12-0, en route to its seventh straight win. The Blue Wave pounded out 18 hits in the victory.
Leading the way for Darien was Nicole Buch with four hits, Jessica DeMaio with two hits, Olivia Gozdz with two hits and two RBIs, Courtney Bell with a triple and a double and three RBIs, Kelly Fahey had two hits, Emma Hamilton had two hits and Brittany Osborn had a two-run double. Jessica DeMaio went the distance on the mound for her second straight shutout.
The Blue Wave take their 10-1 record to Stamford High on Wednesday for a match-up against the 9 -2 Black Knights.
