DARIEN, Conn. If youre out and about in Darien Saturday you might encounter Darien High athletes drumming up support for their teams. Saturday is Blue Wave Pride Day in Darien, and the kids will be selling memberships in the Blue Wave Booster Club as well as limited edition 2011 Blue Wave Pride T-shirts and other merchandise.
Boosters encourage community members to stop by and show support by joining the club and buying a $5 tee. A $100 membership in the BWBC includes two free passes to all home football and basketball games and helps support the teams of Darien High School. The Darien Sports Shop will donate 10 percent of all Sept. 10 sales to Darien residents to the BWBC.
Club members will be at the high school from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Darien Sport Shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Stop & Shop in Goodwives Shopping Center from 9 to 11 a.m., and at Upper Crust Bagel from 8 to 10 a.m.
