Darien Neighbors Notes

Special recognition goes to Darien’s Tracy Fox, the founder of Having A Heart For God. It held the First Annual Darien Lenten Luncheon on April 6, raising more than $18,000 for Feed the Starving Children. More than 300 women from all the Darien churches along with ladies from Community Bible Study, MOPS and home Bible study groups attended the sold-out fundraiser at the Darien Country Club.

Special thanks were bestowed to the luncheon committee Carolyn Eppley, Erika Morro, Kara Duncan and Cathleen Hellman, as well as to Eileen’s Exclusive Floral for donating all of the flower centerpieces; Abby Young, who played violin; and Susan Nappa, who provided gifts from her Proverbial Knits Collection.

Congratulations to Rachel Walsh and Inger Stringfellow of William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty in Darien and New Canaan. The two real estate agents hosted an extraordinary open house event that drew nearly 300 attendees. Seven guest interior designers, including Carey Karlan of Last Detail Design, Julie DeTerlizzi of D & D Fine Homes and Christine Kelly of Kelly Interiors, were invited to design a select room in the 10,000-square-foot new construction home, and meet with attendees for free design advice. Darien residents Vicki Nolan, Lynn Reilly and Chris Malley were there to enjoy the evening and were among the lucky raffle winners of a two-hour design consultation with one of the guest designers.
