DARIEN, Conn. A Darien man was arrested Sunday night after a woman who just moved into the same apartment complex reported she had been harassed.
According to police reports, the woman was in her apartment at 27 Greenwood Ave. when she saw the front doorknob move as if someone was trying to get in. When she opened the door, she was confronted by someone she did not know.
She told police that the man started yelling and swearing at her and did not make any sense. He then allegedly grabbed her by the right arm and slammed her into a stairwell wall. Police said she sustained a large abrasion on her arm but refused medical service.
Officers confronted Thomas Dunlap, 56, who kept changing his story and could offer no explanation of what had happened. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He posted $500 bond and will go to court March 29.
