Darien High School's boys lacrosse team jumped out to a 16-0 lead at halftime and went on to pound Fairfield Ludlowe, 17-4, in a Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference game Tuesday in Fairfield.
Ben Preston led the way with four goals for Darien. Tim Murphy and Richard Gregory had three apiece. Jon Magnusson and Case Matheis added a pair, while Kevin Seiler, Graham Maybell and Jamie Kerr netted single goals.
Darien improved to 9-2 and 6-0 in the conference. The Blue Wave take on New Canaan Saturday at Dunning Field at 4 p.m.
