"Our main concerns are drainage holes, curb work, milling and paving," said DPW Supervisor Kevin Terhune.

A number of yellow flag markers and paint run in front of houses in the area."We don't expect additional road closures or projects at this time, and we want to try to minimize the impact on traffic." Terhune said. Indeed, a mail carrier, a couple, and grandmother walking with a baby stroller in the area said they were unaware of the projects.

M. Ingannamorte & Son will resurface Phelps Avenue from Cedar Street to Knickerbocker Road, starting the end of this month or the beginning of next, officials said.

D&L Paving Contractors, Inc. will repair Hoover Drive from Truman Drive to Huyler Landing Road; East Madison Avenue from Piermont Road to Washington Street; the entire length of Ackerman Place; Lexington Avenue from Brookside Avenue to Concord Street; and Brookside Avenue, north of Grant Avenue and Merrifield Way from Oct. 15 through the end of the month.
