The crash happened on Johnson Road in the Town of Dover on Thursday morning, June 11, according to Dover Town Supervisor Rich Yeno.
In an update posted at 7:17 a.m., Yeno said he had been notified of an electrical outage caused by an auto wreck on Johnson Road. The road was closed, and NYSEG crews were on scene with police, Yeno said.
According to the supervisor, repairs were expected to take several hours because crews would need to replace a utility pole and transformer.
Yeno said schools had been made aware of the outage and that the fire department would also be kept updated.
