Crafts Show Marks 20th Year

Arts and craft vendors from all over the region gathered in Wilton yesterday for the Rotary Club's 20th Annual Open Arts and Crafts Show. Jewelry, yard ornaments and artwork were some of the goods sold by more than 50 vendors.

Kathy Driver of Madison, N.J., is one of the vendors who has come back over the years. Driver travels to 80 crafts shows a year to sell her painted mailboxes, watering cans and planters. "I thought I'd come back to see how my mailboxes are doing and hear from my customers here," she said. "It's a lovely community and a great fundraiser."

Vendors paid $80 to $100 each to rent a booth at this year's fair. The Rotary Club uses the proceeds from the event to help local charities.
