Courthouse parking security a surprise

ONLY ON CLIFFVIEW PILOT: So you live in one of the most affluent counties in the U.S., where taxes are astronomical, and you pull into the lot of the Bergen courthouse to testify in a case, or serve jury duty, or file for divorce, maybe, or some other business, and what kind of security greets you? An old car battery tethered to a sawhorse.

“With all the money they spend on this and that in this county, this is their idea of security?

“Sheriff’s vehicles park in there, officials park in there. And nobody says, ‘For God’s sake, get a sandbag’?

“You expect this in a city, maybe, but not in a county where taxes are so high.”

The man has a point.
