CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. -- The Westchester County Police will be conducting increased speed patrol operations on Cortlandt Manors major roadways starting July 18, for one month this summer. The operation is reportedly the result of year-round calls to the Town of Cortlandt about the speed of vehicles on the road.
The goal is to slow down traffic and keep our roads safer, said a press release issued by the Town of Cortlandt. "This is a reminder to abide by the speed limit in order to not be ticketed.
The Town of Cortlandt does not have its own police force, and is therefore policed by the Westchester County Police and the New York State Police.
