The New Canaan Community Foundation recently mailed its annual appeal letters, inviting all of our New Canaan neighbors to make a gift to NCCF and invest in our wonderful community.
Since 1977, the New Canaan Community Foundation (NCCF) has promoted local philanthropy, linking community needs with donor contributions. This past year alone, NCCF made 57 grants to local not-for-profits serving our community, and awarded 38 scholarships to residents, for a total local investment of approximately $750,000.
The New Canaan Community Foundation's philanthropic programs help sustain nonprofit organizations working in diverse fields from education, environment, special needs, health care, art, culture and youth. NCCF touches every aspect of community life!
One of NCCF's appeal goals this year is to increase donor participation among town residents. Everyone in New Canaan has a stake, at whatever level is comfortable, in this vital campaign. Your gift, combined with gifts from your neighbors, will radiate throughout our community to organizations that need it most.
Bill Walbert and Leo Karl, co-chairs of NCCF's annual appeal campaign for a second year, are asking everyone to help keep our community such a special place to call home. Participation from every neighborhood in town will make a difference. We are counting on you to respond when you receive the letter in your mailbox!
