Membership levels are at an all-time low and help is needed.

No previous experience is necessary - the department will provide the training and camaraderie.

The department is 100 percent volunteer and proudly has been serving the community since 1893. The department responds to an average of 275 calls a year, which requires numerous man-hours to provide the service levels required by the community. All interested parties should submit inquires via the contact information provided below.

All applicants are required to be at least 18 to join the department; high school students may be eligible to join the department's junior program.

For more information, contact the fire department at (201) 768-3698 or [email protected]

Those interested can also stop by the firehouse on any first, third or fourth Tuesday of the month after 7:30 p.m. to speak with members and pick up an application.
