FAIRFIELD, Conn. Say hello to Chaos. The 3-month-old black Lab mix is this weeks Wednesdays Pet, dogs and cats who are brought to the Board of Selectmen meeting to draw attention to animals waiting for a home at the Fairfield Animal Shelter.
The program was started in May by then-Selectman Sherri Steeneck. Animal Control Officer Bill McDonough says the idea has been a great success. So far all but one of the pets featured has been adopted.
Chaos will be ready for adoption Saturday. You can take him home then for a $50 fee, which will include a voucher to have him neutered. Already neutered or spayed pets cost just $5 to adopt. If youre interested in taking him home, you can visit him and the other dogs and cats in need of a home at the Fairfield Animal Shelter, 211 One Rod Highway. You can also see the full list of dogs and cats available at Petfinder.
