The event, known as "Chamber Champs 2013," will honor businesses, volunteers, nonprofit groups and other members of the community with a ceremony starting at 6 p.m. Oct. 9 at Crabtree's Kittle House, 11 Kittle Road, Chappaqua, according to a press release.
"All of our merchants do so much for the community," said chamber founder Rob Greenstein in the release. "This event will give the residents a chance to show their appreciation. Plus, we have an incredible line-up of honored guests."
The guests include state Assemblyman David Buchwald, Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino and Westchester County Legislator Michael Kaplowitz.
The awards include:
* Business of The Year to "honor an outstanding business and to recognize their contributions to the local business community."
* Volunteer of the Year to "honor those who have distinguished themselves in unselfish and extraordinary public service to the citizens of Chappaqua & Millwood."
* New Business of The Year to "honor an outstanding new business in Chappaqua or Millwood and to recognize their contributions to the local business community."
* Nonprofit of the Year to "honor outstanding achievement by a nonprofit organization."
* Lifetime Achievement Award to "honor an outstanding business and to recognize their long-time contributions to the community."
