This 25-person group, with performers from 6 to 60, is based in Galway. The Celtic Flames "play and perform a quality eclectic mix of traditional Irish music, song and dance fused with a more contemporary idiom," organizers note.
The show highlights the many and varied aspects of Irish culture in a colorful, action-packed two-and-a-half-hour performance -- the vigor of the dance, the beauty of the songs, the humor and pathos of the writing, the power of the music -- all presented in a beautifully choreographed production with an authentic and contemporary feel.
General admission tickets are $30, and $15 for kids under 12. VIP tickets are $50. You can buy them online, here.
The performance will begin at 7 p.m., at Bergen County Academies, 200 Hackensack Ave.
The show is sponsored by the Council of Irish Associations of Greater Bergen County.
