POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Catherine E. O’Keefe, a resident of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, March 25. She was 72.
She was born May 29, 1943, in Yonkers. She was the daughter of the late Herbert and late Anne Sweeney.
She was employed by Shop Rite in Wappingers as a cashier.
She is survived by her husband, Edward O’Keefe; daughter, Robin O’Keefe of Hyde Park; and her sons, Edward O'Keefe Jr. and his wife Cecily of Schehalis, Michael O'Keefe of Poughkeepsie, and Terence O'Keefe of Poughkeepsie; grandsons, Daniel, Shawn, Miles, Kristopher and Conor O'Keefe; and her sister-in- law, Julia Sweeney.
She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Sweeney.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Martin DePorres Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie. The burial will be private and the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie.
