RIDGEFIELD, Conn. Have you ever caught a frog? The Discovery Center in Ridgefield will host a frog hunt at the West Mountain McManus Open Space on Sunday, Aug. 19.
The center invites you and your family to learn about the life, adaptations and habits of local frogs. After learning about these amphibians, the group will go out into the open space and try to find some.
Everyone is invited to join in on the search and hike through the West Mountain McManus Open Space. The Center suggests wearing long pants and rain boots to protect against mud and ticks.
The West Mountain McManus Open Space is located off Oscaleta Road and West Mountain Roads and includes parking at the trail entrance. Members of the center can participate for free, and non-members pay $7.
