The town of Carmel is asking residents to submit a photo of their beloved, photogenic and licensed dogs to Town Clerk Ann Spofford's office, for the chance to win great prizes and earn the title.
The “TOP DOG” contest will be open to Carmel residents only. All dogs entered must have a valid dog license (as required by New York State law).
Owners should complete the entry form and provide a 4 inch by 6 inch photo of dog only. Residents can enter their dog in the contest via mail, the Town of Carmel’s website, or in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, 60 McAlpin Ave., Mahopac.
Submissions will be accepted between Sept. 21 and Nov. 30. One entry permitted per dog. All photos will be available for viewing on the Town of Carmel’s website where anyone may vote for their favorite. There will be a limit of one vote per email and/or IP address permitted. Voting begins on Dec. 4 and closes Dec. 11.
A Grand Prize will be awarded to the “TOP DOG” for receiving the greatest number of votes. Prizes will also be awarded for second place and third place. The winners will be announced on Dec. 16 and posted on the Town of Carmel’s website.
