PARAMUS, N.J. -- Carl Jayson -- a Paramus resident, formerly of Brooklyn -- died on Monday, July 4. He was 89.
Jayson was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Before he retired, he worked for Crum & Foster in Morristown as a bond portfolio manager.
He was a parishioner of the Church of the Annunciation in Paramus, as well as a member of the American Legion Post 207, Knights of Columbus and the Paramus Republican Club.
Jayson is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor (Greco) Jayson; children Laura Pascucci and her husband Paul of Paramus, Carl Jayson Jr. of Paramus, Jeffrey Jayson and his wife Carla of Ridgewood, and Marianne DiStefano of Staten Island, New York; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., in Paramus. A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. memorial mass at the Church of the Annunciation, 50 West Midland Ave., in Paramus. Interment will be in George Washington Memorial Park, also in Paramus.
