Police said a northbound BMW operated by a 25-year-old Poughkeepsie man collided with an eastbound Subaru operated by a 30-year-old Poughkeepsie woman before the vehicles continued onto the property at the northeast corner. It ended with the Subaru hitting and causing minor damage to the house.
The residents were not home at the time of the accident. The intersection was closed to traffic for several hours and both operators were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. There were no other occupants of the vehicles.
The investigation is still ongoing and police ask anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department at (845)-485-3666
