DeeDee Brandt will host a series of "listening and learning" sessions in a continuing effort to reach out to voters in the 133rd District, which includes Fairfield and Westport. The first takes place Friday, July 23, from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Penfield Beach pavilion on Fairfield Beach Road. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
The House candidate said she will hold the forums because the conversation in Hartford has been "a little one-sided lately."
Brandt has been going door-to-door reaching out to voters directly. "As I've walked door-to-door in the last few months, I was quickly reminded of the wealth of knowledge and insight members of our community hold, and I look forward to talking to them further in a more intimate setting," she said.
The former Fairfield RTM and Board of Finance member is running against two-term Democrat Kim Fawcett. For more information on Brandt, visit her website.
