Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. March 8 at William. G. Miller & Son Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie. A memorial service is planned 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9 at at Christ Episcopal Church.
Hermann died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack on Thursday. He was 52.
He was a teacher, public servant and leading LGBT advocate.
He is survived by his husband, Matt, and a daughter, Roxy.
