Cake Boss Bakes a Transformer

Most people don't associate Camaros with confections, but Chef Buddy Valastro, star of the TLC series, "Cake Boss" and longtime "Transformers" fan, melded butter cream with horsepower in a recent creation.

To celebrate the opening of "Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon," as well as some of the vehicles that star in it, Valastro created a 2,000-pound pound cake/sculpture, which depicts the character "Bumblebee" in Autobot and Camaro forms.

In order to bake and build the outsized dessert, Valastro and his team of bakers consulted with special effects wonks to create a spectacular piece that featured hydraulic lifts (to articulate Bumblebee's "arms"), as well as fireworks.

Don't let your kids see it unless you plan on baking one of these monsters for the next birthday party.
