Cable Provider Relocating To Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Some 200 jobs will be created in Stamford when Charter Communications moves its headquarters from St. Louis to the city, a news release from Gov. Dannel Malloy’s office said.

The jobs were described as “high-level” and would expand the state’s media footprint, the release said.

Charter Communications is a Fortune 500 company and is the fourth largest cable operator in the U.S., according to the company’s website.

The governor is holding a press conference Tuesday to discuss the details of Charter’s relocation.
