ARMONK, N.Y. The Byram Hills School District Board of Education will continue its budget development process Tuesday with a meeting that will cover specific school programs.
Last week, the Board of Education discussed curriculum, technology, students with special needs and fine arts. Details were provided about cuts and increases in the budgets for each department. Tim Kaltenecker, assistant superintendent for curriculum, discussed increases in the budget for annual teacher and principal performance reviews.
Greg Stowell, director of special and health services, said an increase in the budget of more than $200,000 that supports programs for students outside the school district will be offset by cuts, so the total budget increase will be $160,000.
Tuesdays meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. at the district office behind the high school and is open to the public.
