On Wednesday, June 24, Bridgeton police responded to Burling Manor Complex and found Quashawn White, a 33-year-old Newark man, with multiple gunshot wounds, Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said. White was pronounced dead at the scene, Webb-McRae said.
An investigation led to Rynell Lawrence being charged with murder and weapons offenses, Webb-McRae said. He remains at large, Webb-McRae said.
Lawrence should be considered armed and dangerous. The public should not approach him, Webb-McRae said. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact NJSP Detective Renia Singleton of the NJSP Fugitive Unit at 1-800-437-7839 or send an email to [email protected] .
