Brewster Library Educates On How To Deter Deer

BREWSTER, N.Y. -- Brewster Public Library will host the presentation "Edible and Deer Resistant Native Landscaping and Gardening" on March 31.

Environmental specialist Susan McKeever-Duys will discuss and provide tips on choosing and planting native perennials that are edible and deter deer from 6 to 7 p.m. Register online at tinyurl.com/zvxayrm.

A representative from Putnam Independent Living Services will provide information about their services on March 29 from 3 to 5 p.m. No appointment is necessary. 

The library will hold a defensive driving class on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is $40. Students should bring a lunch. For registration and additional information, visit tinyurl.com/j6fscaj.

Author, columnist and teacher Dorothy Killackey will lead "Introduction to Short-Story Writing" on April 16, 23 and 30 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Registration is required by visiting tinyurl.com/z5vtvbg.
