PEEKSKILL, N.Y. Elizabeth "Betty" T. Ronci of Peekskill died May 25. She was 86.
She was born to William and Elizabeth Bottos McDermott in Verplanck. On Sept. 28, 1952, she married Frank L. Ronci in Peekskill, where they raised three children.
A graduate of Hendrick Hudson High School, Ronci often worked at her stepfather Frank Curcios popular Peekskill establishment, the Shady Lake. She then worked for AT&T and New York Telephone Co. before retiring in 1984.
After retirement, Ronci and her husband traveled to Mexico, Alaska, and Italy and went on cross-country road trips.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frank; a son, Wayne (Eileen), of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Sharon, of Peekskill; a daughter-in-law, Christa, of Croton-on-Hudson and four grandchildren. Her son, Frank W Ronci, predeceased her in February of this year.
Callings hours were held Monday at Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home in Peekskill. A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday morning at Assumption Church in Peekskill, with burial at Assumption Cemetery.
