The winning ticket matched four white balls and the Mega Ball in the Tuesday, April 14 drawing and included a 4X multiplier, increasing the base $1 million prize to $4 million, according to the New Jersey Lottery.
The ticket was sold at Garden State Dairy, located at 135 Oakland Street in Closter, lottery officials said.
The winning numbers were 17, 21, 24, 57, and 69. The Mega Ball was 12, officials said. No one won the jackpot, which now stands at $130 million heading into Friday’s drawing.
Lottery officials said a rule change enacted in April 2025 added a free random multiplier to tickets, giving players a chance to increase non-jackpot prizes by 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X, or 10X.
Officials noted that similar wins have occurred in New Jersey, including a Bergen County player in June who also used a 4X multiplier to turn a $1 million prize into $4 million.
Since 1970, the New Jersey Lottery has contributed nearly $34.7 billion to the state, supporting programs and services, including the public employee pension system, officials said.
