On Nov. 2, Peter Meskouris announced that he'd purchased the Bendix Diner in Hasbrouck Heights in a Facebook post shared in the Dinerville group. He says renovations are already underway.

Meskouris and his family own Jackson Hole, a diner with locations in Englewood and New York City.

The Bendix Diner was closed earlier this year by the health department, drawing an outpouring of support for its owner, John Diakakis, who is blind.

According to NJ Advance Media, the Bendix Diner property had been listed for $2.5 million.

No timeline for reopening has been announced.
