HACKENSACK, N.J. – Beatrice C. Oropallo Avitable, a lifelong resident of Hackensack, died Tuesday, June 14, at Holy Name Medical Center. She was 95.
Prior to retiring, she and her husband owned Avitable Bakery in Hackensack, Bergenfield and Ortley Beach.
She was the mother of Kathleen Salvo and her husband, Jack, of Hackensack, Patricia Sivori and her husband, Alfonso, of Hackensack; grandmother of Jack Salvo, Kim Salvo, Bryan Fox and Kristen Sivori; great-grandmother of Marco, Ryan and Brianna; and sister of Angela DiBella of Englewood Cliffs., and the late
Her husband Henry Avitable died in 1996 and also was predeceased by a daughter, Joann Fox,; and siblings, Mary Occhipinti and Patrick Oropallo.
Vsitation will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home, 397 Union St., Hackensack.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Home.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Episcopal Church, 72 Lodi St., Hackensack with burial following at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
