Beacon Man Gets Prison Time For Third DWI Offense

BEACON, N. Y. -- A Dutchess County judge ordered one to three years in state prison, along with other punishments, for a Beacon man convicted of his third driving while intoxicated offense since 2009, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Nelson F. Ramos Gonzalez, 49, who pled guilty to a felony DWI charge last month, also has to pay the mandatory fine of $2,520, lose his driver's license and attend victim impact and drunk driving programs, the Poughkeepsie Journal says. 

Dutchess County Court Judge Peter M. Forman also required that he use an ignition interlock device in his car that will test his breath for alcohol, the Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
