For allegedly accessing "unauthorized information" on a public computer at the Westport Public Library, Heron McDaniel, a resident at the Gillespie Center, was banned from the library Sept. 16. According to police, officers told McDaniel, 33, that if he returned to the library, he would be arrested on trespassing charges. McDaniel returned to the library the next day, Sept. 17, and was subsequently arrested. He was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and is due in court Sept. 27.

Macej Raszczyk-Lawski, 29, of Fairfield, was appearing at Norwalk Superior Court on Wednesday on charges of issuing a bad check and fourth-degree larceny when Westport police served him with an arrest warrant. The warrant stemmed from two incidents in June and July in which he allegedly paid for about $4,600 in merchandise with bad checks at two downtown businesses. He was charged with two counts of issuing a bad check and third-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 27.
