Eight groups rocked Darien High School Friday in the epic battle of the bands known as Bandjam. The Smokebomb Mondays from Newtown High School ended up winning and will go on to perform at the New Haven International Festival of Arts and Ideas on June 25. They also won a $100 gift certificate from Sam Ash Music Stores. The band featured Liam Reynolds on lead guitar and trombone, Danny Bittman on lead vocals, Tim Eames on bass, Matt Spencer on drums, Jonah McKeown on saxophone, Harrison Buzzi on trombone and Pat Milano on trumpet. The Interstellar Elevators from Weston High School will also be playing at the Festival of Art and Ideas.
