Stamford's Mike Ballo shot a final-round 71 and finished fourth in the USGA Men's State Team Championship Thursday at Mayacama Golf Club in Santa Rosa, Calif. Connecticut finished tied for 29th in the team competition. Kansas took the team championship.
Ballo finished at 1-under-par 212. He finished four shots behind medalist Bryan Norton of Kansas, who closed with a 68. Ballo closed with a 33 on his back nine, including four birdies and one bogey. For complete results, visit the USGA website.
