If you have your own business, or are thinking about starting one, you might want to head over to the Wilton Library Monday at 6 p.m. That's when Jane Pollak of Westport will discuss her book "Soul Proprietor: 101 Lessons from a Lifestyle Entrepreneur."
The central idea is structuring a business to reflect your personal values and so that it meshes with your lifestyle. Originally published in 2001, the book is being re-released this year. The new edition features updated lessons on catching the curveballs and pursuing your dream, controlling systems, gadgets and gismos, and feeding your golden goose, according to a library press release.
An experienced entrepreneur, Pollak tries to offer lessons that are both practical and inspirational. The free event is part of the "Area Author Affair," and the library says anyone planning to attend must register in advance.
