RYE, N.Y. The Rye Recreation Department will host several kayak events through August at the Rye Boat Basin. Licensed guides and ACA Kayak instructors will provide a brief instruction on land and then guide kayakers on to the water for the three events.
Sunset Paddle will be on August 8 from 6-9 p.m. at a cost of $60 per person. Doggy Paddle, which includes pet dogs for the paddle, will be held on August 14 from 1-3 p.m. at a cost of $60, and Long Island Sound Tour is set for August 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a cost of $75.
