Returning items purchased from a store is not uncommon, but returning stolen items to the store from which they were taken is. And that's exactly what two Norwalk residents are suspected of having done at a Westport store last July.
Timothy Prins and Leslie Levine allegedly worked together to return items they stole from the CVS on Post Road East in exchange for cash and a store credit. Prins, 43, was arrested Friday at Norwalk Superior Court on a warrant. Levine, 63, was picked up by Westport police Friday at the Darien Police Department, where she was being held on a warrant.
Both were charged with sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit a crime and interfering with an officer. They are due in court on Feb. 28.

New Haven resident Rogelio Maldonado, 27, was arrested Friday morning at Norwalk Superior Court on a warrant. The warrant stems from a September shoplifting incident at the Westport CVS in which Maldonado allegedly stole about $786 worth of merchandise. Maldonado was charged with fifth-degree larceny and appeared in court on Feb. 21. He is next due in court on March 11.
