Arrest Made in Darien Bicycle Theft

Emmanuel Arrango, 20, of Norwalk, was charged April 28 with stealing a bike from the Noroton Heights train station. At about noon, an officer spotted Arrango riding away from the station on a yellow mountain bike.

The officer had seen the bike unsecured near the bike rack earlier. He decided to stop Arrango because of the high number of bike thefts at the station. The officer asked whether the bike belonged to Arrango, and he admitted it did not. He said he had been kicked off the train on his way home from work in Stamford because he didn't pay the fare and did not want to walk home. He was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny. He was unable to post $200 bond and will go to court May 9.

Police said Pelazza entered the restaurant through a side door and began yelling at a waitress. According to witnesses, she was yelling racial slurs and threatening to fight the waitress.

The manager escorted Pelazza to her car and asked her to leave before contacting the police. The waitress told police she and Pelazza had been arguing over Instant Message all day, fighting about an incident that occurred more than a year ago.

Police contacted Pelazza and asked her to go to the police station. She admitted she had been at Phil's Grill but denied yelling slurs, making any threats or sending messages. Pelazza was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of the peace and second-degree threatening. She was released on a promise to appear in court May 9.
