ARMONK, N.Y. Byram Hills senior Jordan Kravette says spring cleaning in town makes a difference in the lives of others when it comes to Camp Fitters, his nonprofit effort to help inner city kids enjoy their summers.
Spring cleaning will make a difference if area residents drop off camp supplies and other items in the bins set up by Kravette and his sister, Danielle, at the North Castle Public Library and Framings on Main Street. The items will be donated to Project Morrys Port Jervis summer camp that welcomes inner city kids for three to six week programs.
Camp Fitters, which has been raising money and supplies for Project Morry for four years, was based on our love for camp, Kravette said. We wanted to do something good. People have extra goods in their basement so we hope theyll donate them to a good cause.
Sleeping bags, duffel bag, sheets, towels and athletic equipment are the items Camp Fitters needs. The Kravettes will pick up the items and deliver them to Port Morrys Greenburgh headquarters.
The Kravettes desire to help others is overwhelming, according to Dawn Ewing, the executive director of Project Morry. Their drive, energy, creativity and passion is the right thing to do.
