YONKERS, N.Y. -- Anna (Lelyak) Yambor, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died Sunday, Oct. 18. She was 93.
Yambor was born Jan. 12, 1922, to the late Stephen and Mary (Adamkovich) Lelyak. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She married John Yambor in Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and they resided in the Homefield section.
For several years, she worked as a secretary at Traveler's Insurance Company. Anna also was a member of Seniors Group #7.
Yambor was predeceased by her husband, John.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at Duchynski-Cherko Funeral Home, 111 Yonkers Ave., Yonkers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Church of St. Anthony's-Nepera Park, 10 Squire Ave., Yonkers. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
