MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. Nearly 100 percent of Mt. Kisco power outages were restored Wednesday afternoon, according to Mayor Michael Cindrich. Reports released by Con Edison confirmed that 313 of its 5,075 customers were still without electricity in the community.
Were happy the power is now restoreda lot of people were being told (by Con Edison) that Thursday would be the earliest date their electricity would return, he said.
Cindrich added that the power in his home, which lies in the northwestern sector of the community, returned Tuesday afternoon for the first time since Sunday morning. The Pinecrest Manor housing development located on Amuso Drive was among the last neighborhoods to be fixed, he said.
Officials advise that those who are still waiting for power to be restored, should personally file a report with Con Edison to bring their attention to it.
The Village of Mt. Kisco must also now turn to another concern: town economics.
Were now trying to gather data from the business community on financial hits they may have taken on days they were closed, Cindrich said.
Con Edison said it expects all electricity to be fully restored by Sept. 1 at 11:59 p.m.
