Now, the Rutgers PhD student is a two-time "Jeopardy!" champion.
Kuney, who lives in New Brunswick and is a native of West Nyack, won her second consecutive episode of "Jeopardy!" on Thursday, Nov. 6, and has now earned more than $65,000. At Rutgers she is researching digital religion and spirituality, platform studies, and misinformation/disinformation in online communities.
Getting the Daily Double clue incorrect in single Jeopardy led to Kuney ending the round in third place, despite getting 9 clues correct.
But she roared back in Double Jeopardy, getting 25 clues correct, including 11 out of the last 16 clues in the round, and entered Final Jeopardy in the lead.
The Final Jeopardy clue: A 2022 article titled this “At 50: The Video Game ‘That Changed The World'” also said “it may be ‘the most boring…game of all time'”
Two of the contestants, including Kuney, got the clue correct, and her $17,0001 wager meant she won $38,401.
Kuney will be making her third appearance on "Jeopardy" on Friday, Nov 7.
And the answer to Final Jeopardy?
