HARRISON, N.Y. - Funeral services for Town Clerk Joseph Acocella will temporarily close Halstead Avenue Friday morning from Harrison Avenue to Oak Street, according to the town website.
The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon due to a large funeral procession at St. Gregory the Great Church to honor the life of Acocella.
The Friday service will also close the town hall building until noon.
Calling hours for Acocella will be held Wednesday and Thursday at Coxe and Graziano in Mamaroneck from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Friday a 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great.
Acocella died Monday from health complications. He was awaiting a kidney transplant at the time of his death.
