Denis A. Gonzalez Sorto, 21, of Hempstead, Isaac Lopez Alvarez, 20, of Hempstead, and a 17-year-old adolescent offender have each been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Michael David Grajeda Suazo, according to Nassau County Police in an update issued Saturday, Aug. 1.
The arrests stem from the fatal stabbing that happened around 9:25 p.m. Sunday, June 28, outside 545 Fulton Ave. in Hempstead.
Officers responding to an aided call found Grajeda Suazo suffering from puncture wounds to his torso, as Daily Voice previously reported. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was found near the scene of a car crash, though police never said whether the two incidents were connected.
The victim was identified as Grajeda Suazo, an 18-year-old Hempstead resident, police announced on Tuesday, June 30.
Gonzalez Sorto, Lopez Alvarez, and the juvenile suspect were scheduled to be arraigned Saturday, Aug. 1, at First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
