During his time writing for newspapers, magazines, and online publications, he’s covered everything from murderers to mommy bloggers, but his most interesting story is always the next one.

Lucky For Life Jackpot: Trust Claims 2 Lifetime Payday Winners A Saugus trust has claimed two Lucky For Life winners from the same drawing, which each pay out $25,000 a year for life. The Maufran Trust of Saugus collected the prizes from the May 5 drawing on Thursday, May 23.  Both winners chose to take the one-time payout of $390,000 (before taxes).  Both winning tickets were bought at M&M Liquors at 619 Broadway in Malden. The store will receive two $5,000 bonuses for the sales.  The multi-state Lucky for Life drawings are held seven nights a week.

$500,000 Lottery Ticket Sold In Malden Thursday, May 23, was a very good day for one Bay Stater when they pulled a $500,000 winning ticket in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  The winner bought the ticket at Steve's Corner Store at 888 Salem Street in Malden. 1 Killed In Marlborough House Fire A housefire in Marlborough on Wednesday morning, May 22, claimed the life of one person, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to the 66 Nolan Way home just before 8:30 a.m. to find fire coming from the back left corner of the single-family house, the state Fire Marshals Office said.  Crews forced their way inside and found an adult man dead.
