The Byram Township firefighters responded to the blaze in the Brookwood section of town and confirmed that the fire had spread to the adjacent home around 4:40 p.m., the department said.
Crews worked together to stretch a line and begin fire suppression efforts while checking the structure’s interior and initiating smoke remediation.
The fire was safely doused with no injuries reported, the department said.
The Lakeland Emergency Squad, Byram Township Police Department and Green Township Fire Department assisted at the scene of the blaze, which remained under investigation, authorities said.
