Bucks County Man Faces Child Pornography Charges, Police Say A 27-year-old Warrington man was arrested on child pornography charges last week, according to township police.  Derrick A. Carthon is being held on a $250,000 bond, court records show.  Authorities received six cyber tips from X.com, formerly known as Twitter, related to accounts associated with Carthon, police said. They searched his home on July 23 and seized multiple electronic devices before taking him into custody, according to officials.  Carthon has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug 12.

Deadly Early Morning Shooting Under Investigation: Philadelphia Police A man died from his wounds after he was shot multiple times Friday morning, Aug. 2, authorities say.  The shooting happened before 4 a.m. on the 200 block of West Somerset Street in Kensington, according to PPD. The victim, a man in his early 30s, was struck in the abdomen, right leg, and left arm, police wrote.  He was taken to Temple University Hospital and pronounced dead around 4:20 a.m., authorities said. Masked Burglars Tried To Enter Montco Home, Authorities Say Three men attempted to burglarize a Lower Moreland residence in broad daylight last month, township police said in a release on Wednesday, July 31.  One suspect broke a fence lock and forced his way into the backyard of a home near Pine and Byberry roads on July 5, according to investigators. Broad St. on July 5, authorities said. Police Seek Missing 72-Year-Old In Bucks County A 72-year-old Fairless Hills man has been missing since Monday, July 29, according to Falls Township police. Joseph Verni was last seen around 8 a.m. that day, authorities said. Coroner IDs Woman Killed By Train In Emmaus A 68-year-old Emmaus woman died after being struck by a train on Wednesday, July 31, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  Teresa G.
