Man Suffering Medical Emergency Crashes Into Garage In Area

A man suffering from a medical emergency crashed into a garage, causing it to collapse on top of the vehicle.

The incident took place around 6:20 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10 on Elm Street in Stratford when the 68-year-old man crashed a Honda hatchback into the garage, authorities said.

Firefighters had to remove the garage from around the vehicle and extract the man through the back of the car, said the Stratford Fire Department.

The rescue took firefighters about 15 minutes.

The man had suffered a serious medical condition and was transported to an area hospital by Stratford EMS.
