Crash Closes Rt 322 In Central Pennsylvania: Police (Developing) A man and a woman are hospitalized after an early morning wreck on Route 322, Downingtown police say.  A silver Honda Fit and a white Chevrolet Equinox collided on the 600 block just after 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, authorities said.  Both were taken to Paoli Hospital Trauma Center while Route 322/Brandywine Avenue was shut down for more than three hours.  The crash remains under investigation and anyone who witnessed it is asked to call 610-269-0263 or email traffic@downingtown.org.

Name Released Of 29-Year-Old Man Killed By Police In Central PA A convicted felon has died following an officer-involved shooting in Lewistown, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.  Ridge Ryen Rhodes, 29 of Lewistown, is accused of firing "several shots" when local police responded to the area of the 100 block of West Fourth Street and fired back around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, according to the PSP Troop G release.  Rhodes "succumbed to injuries" after being shot by police. Emergency crews were called to the "fire department incident" at Johnson Controls located at 100 Cumberland Valley Avenue in Waynesboro at 7:23 a.m., according to emergency dispatchers in Franklin County.
